Oklahoma County man attacked twice by neighbor’s dogs within 2 days

OKLAHOMA COUNTY, Oklahoma (KFOR) – Brandon Williams is covered in bite marks and can barely walk.

“It’s like a war zone, all these dogs,” Williams said. “I have so many bites and scratches. You can’t even cover them all up.”

According to Williams, he was checking his mail at his home near NE 63rd and Post Road on Friday when his neighbors’ dogs broke out of their fence. Williams said the dogs attacked him and his own dog.

“If she hadn’t come after me and helped me then, I would probably be dead now, but she’s dead,” Williams said.

Williams said his dog was killed and he was taken to the hospital.

“Stitches, stitches, stitches,” he said, pointing to his injuries.

Just 48 hours later, the dogs tried to bite Williams’ wheelchair-bound father.

“Instead of catching him, they caught me because I had to limp in front of him,” Williams said.

Williams said he’s fed up and wondering what steps to take next. Bria Moos, an attorney at Adler Markoff & Associates, recommends taking legal action.

“If you get bitten by a dog, you’re going to have a problem for the rest of your life,” Moos said.

Moos told KFOR that Oklahoma has strict laws protecting victims of dog attacks.

“If you are attacked or bitten by a dog without cause and you are legally on the property, the owner of the dog can be held responsible,” Moos said. “We will help you through the process and get you the compensation you deserve.”

KFOR contacted animal control, but they were closed due to the Juneteenth holiday.
