2 people arrested in connection with shooting at Walmart in Lucedale: police

LUCEDALE, Mississippi (WKRG) – News 5 has learned that Lucedale police have arrested two suspects in connection with the shooting at a Walmart that left two people injured Tuesday night.

Police Chief Kellum Fairley said Chancellor Moody, 23, and Emanuel Williams, 20, were arrested on Wednesday, June 12.


The arrest came after the two men reportedly fired several shots at the Walmart entrance, hitting a man approaching the store and a woman who was entering the store.

Moody was reportedly booked into the George County Recreational Correctional Facility and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to a press release, Williams was admitted to the same facility for accessory after the fact.
