Denton: 4-year-old boy found unharmed after Amber Alert late Thursday, police said

Authorities said Friday that an Amber alert issued for a 4-year-old boy from Denton has been lifted after he was found with his mother in Richardson.

Just before 11 p.m. Thursday, Denton police said they believed the boy was with his mother, who did not have custody of him. Her last known whereabouts at the time of the Amber Alert were in the area of ​​the 3800 block of Canyon Verde Lane on June 3.

In a news release Friday morning, Denton police said the mother, a woman named Selena Grasty, was in custody after authorities located the two in Richardson.

The press release did not specify what charges Grasty faces. Denton police did not immediately respond to a call or email requesting more information Friday morning.
