Dozens of people have been arrested after West Ham fans attacked a bar in Prague ahead of the Europa Conference League final

Police say dozens of men have been arrested after West Ham fans were attacked by a group of Fiorentina supporters ahead of this evening’s Europa Conference League final in Prague.

According to Sky Sports News, more than 30 people were arrested after violence broke out in the build-up to the game between the Premier League team and the Italian team.

A group of West Ham Fans drank in a bar in the middle of the stadium Czech It is believed they were attacked in the capital by a large number of men dressed in black.

As other Hammers supporters arrived at the scene, riot police were deployed to keep the rival groups apart.

At least three people were injured in the unrest and an officer was also attacked.

After the disturbance, broken glass and a burned-out chair lay on the ground in front of the Tek’ila Tek’ila bar.

A West Ham fan, who did not want to be named, said “a large group” of Italian fans attacked the bar on Rytirska Street.

“About eight Italians walked by, swinging ribbons and chains,” he said.

“Five minutes later a large group came down the street and attacked us,” he added.

The fan also said: “Three of our friends were injured. They went to the hospital.” He said one of his friends was injured “pretty badly” with a “massive cut” to the head, and two other people were also injured.

“Flares and fireworks thrown”

Another witness claimed the Italian fans wore “chains and belt buckles” and threw flares and fireworks.

The 17-year-old said: “We all stood here and just drank one glass. And they all came around the corner and tried to pour it out big. We didn’t do anything wrong. They came here, tried, and then they ran down the street.

A Czech police translation of a tweet said: “Italian fans attacked West Ham fans in a bar on Rytirska Street, injuring three. A police officer was also attacked… and we are currently investigating the entire incident.”

The statement came after videos appeared on social media that appeared to show people throwing chairs at each other in Prague.

Thousands of football fans traveled to the city for the game.

It is West Ham’s first European final since 1976 and they are looking to win their first trophy since the FA Cup 43 years ago.
