Sussex County home invasion under investigation | Latest News

LAUREL, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred early Wednesday morning in Laurel.

On May 29 at approximately 6:00 a.m., police officers responded to a burglary report at a home in the 32000 block of Old Stage Road in Laurel.

When officers arrived, according to DSP, they learned that two suspects had entered the home, tied up the victim and attacked him with a weapon. The victim sustained minor injuries, according to state police.

The suspects fled the house with an unknown amount of cash and belongings. The victim was able to get to the front door and call for help from a passing car.

Delaware State Police say there is no surveillance footage available at this time and that the suspects are unknown. Anyone with information is asked to contact DSP at (302) 752-3812.
