One dead and seven injured after overnight shooting near River Front Dr.

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– Lansing Police responded to a shooting that occurred around 2:50 a.m. in the 300 block of River Front Dr.

According to police, a total of seven people were shot and a 17-year-old man was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

According to official information, at least one person is in critical condition. The identified victims of the shooting are between 15 and 20 years old.

The police say that no arrests have been made so far and assume that this is an isolated case.

This is an open investigation and Lansing Police Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are actively on the scene trying to determine what caused the shooting.
