DCP rubbishes reports of policeman’s suspension

Bengaluru: Police have rubbished media reports that a police officer was suspended for issuing death threats to Banaswadi inspector and ACP.

In a statement, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Kuldeep Kumar R Jain said the police officer neither made any death threats nor was he suspended. Jain said he was carrying out his official duties.

According to some reports, three policemen were suspended following the killing of a rioter in Banaswadi. According to the reports, the policeman was angry over the suspension and threatened to kill the ACP and the Inspector of Banaswadi police station.

The reports also said that the suspension was lifted after the death threat and the police officer was sent on a month-long leave.
