A pedestrian was killed after being struck by vehicles in Dillon County, according to troopers

DILLON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – One person is dead after being struck by multiple vehicles while walking on a highway near Dillon, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

It happened around 11:35 p.m. Thursday on US 301 near Coates Street. This is south of Dillon.

According to Master Trooper Gary Miller, two trucks and an SUV traveling north on the highway struck and killed a pedestrian in the roadway.

No one in the vehicles was injured.

The pedestrian’s name has not yet been released.
