Children hospitalized after two-vehicle crash on 28th Street in Rio Linda

RIO LINDA, CA (July 29, 2024) – Several children were among those injured in a two-car crash at the corner of 28th and Q Streets.

According to Sacramento Metro Fire, the two-car crash occurred around 6 p.m. Saturday. For unknown reasons, two vehicles collided on 28th Street near Q Street. Authorities did not release any information about the cause of the accident.

Shortly thereafter, the Sacramento Metro Fire Department arrived at the scene and found two adults, one of whom was in critical condition, and children under the age of five. Paramedics took the minors to a hospital as a precaution and the adults to be treated for unknown injuries.

Authorities had no further information about what led to the accident, but if witnesses would like to help with the investigation, call the CHP.
