The late Robin Williams repeatedly groped and exposed his “Mork & Mindy” co-star, a new book reveals.

Pam Dawber, who played Mindy to Williams’ Mork in the 1970s sitcom, recalled clear sexual misconduct, saying he groped, grabbed and stared at her on set.

However, Dawber said that William’s “magical” personality meant that she never minded the behaviour and even enjoyed it. She added: “It was the ’70s, after all.”

The allegations, based on interviews with his former colleagues, appear in a forthcoming biography of Williams by New York Times journalist Dave Itzkoff and were picked up by DailyMail.com.

Here are the relevant quotes from Dawber:

“He did the most disgusting things to me. And I never felt insulted. I mean, I got flashed, fucked, bumped into, groped. I think he probably did that to a lot of people… but it was so much fun.

“Somehow he had this magic. If you put it on paper, you’d be horrified. But somehow he had this little guileless quality that he radiated – those sparkling eyes.

“He would suddenly look at you all playfully, like a puppy. And then he would grab you by the tits and run away. And somehow he got away with it.

“It was the 70s, after all.”

According to Howard Storm, the producer of “Mork & Mindy,” Williams also groped Dawber for no reason during rehearsals.

He told Itzkoff: “He would write a paragraph and in the middle of it he would just turn around and grab her butt. Or a breast. And we would start over. I said, ‘Robin, there’s nothing in the script that says you should grab Pam’s butt.’ And he said, ‘Oh, okay.'”

Another producer, Gerry Marshall, also said that Williams “took off all his clothes, stood there completely naked and she tried to act. His life’s goal was to make Pam Dawber blush.”

Storm added that he once hit an actress who played Mindy’s grandmother on the show in the butt with a stick.

“It wasn’t anything lascivious to him. Robin was just being Robin and he thought it would be funny,” Storm said. “He could get away with murder.”
