1 dead in three-vehicle crash in New Haven – NBC Connecticut

One person was killed in a three-vehicle accident in New Haven early Saturday morning.

Just before 2 a.m., officers responded to a report of a three-vehicle crash at Middletown Avenue and Barnes Avenue.

On Middletown Avenue, police found a silver Hyundai with severe front-end damage, a silver Infiniti with severe front-end damage, and a gray Ford with minor front-end damage.

Authorities said numerous people from the vehicles were taken to hospital with injuries ranging from life-threatening to minor. Police did not release the exact number of injured.

According to police, a passenger in the Hyundai suffered serious injuries in the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the person was not released.
