Collision between police SUV and car in West Philadelphia – NBC10 Philadelphia

Two people were being evaluated for possible injuries after a police SUV with its siren on and their car collided in the Cobbs Creek neighborhood of West Philadelphia on Monday morning.

The accident occurred on July 22, 2024, around 6:15 a.m. near South 57th and Larchwood Streets, Philadelphia police accident investigators said.

The police officer had turned on his blue lights and siren during an operation when the SUV collided with the car at the intersection, investigators said.

Due to the force of the impact, the WUV came to a stop on the sidewalk.

An ambulance arrived at the scene. Two people in the car did not appear to be seriously injured but were taken to hospital for observation, police said.

The officer was not injured, investigators said.

No further details about the wreck were released.
