WARNING: New York State Police issues a FRAUD ALERT

The New York State Police have received several complaints regarding targeted efforts by elderly people to withdraw money from their bank accounts.

If you are contacted by someone telling you to withdraw money from your bank so they can pick it up, it is a scam. Do NOT withdraw or wire any money. If someone contacts you on the phone or through your computer telling you to withdraw money to be given to them, call 911 immediately.
