Wallingford man charged with raping young teenager

Karl Miles, of Ipsden Court, Cholsey, appeared for his first hearing at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (July 16).

The 37-year-old is accused of rape, four counts of penetrative sexual acts with a girl, one count of an adult meeting a girl under 16 after grooming, and one count of sexual communication with a child.

It is alleged that the crimes took place in Wallingford between June 2021 and April 2022.

For legal reasons, the complainant cannot be named.

Miles must now appear at Oxford Crown Court on August 15 for a hearing about his guilty plea and trial preparation.
