Billy Hall of Wallingford allegedly attacked the deputy from Fleming County, KY, after he was hospitalized

A Wallingford man was arrested after allegedly assaulting a Fleming County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) deputy Saturday morning.

Authorities say 60-year-old Billy Hall was taken to Fleming County Hospital on Saturday. When Hall arrived, he “quickly exited the ambulance and attempted to enter through the first door of the hospital,” according to the FCSO.

Once at the hospital, FCSO said that “Hall, acting without cause, turned around and charged an officer.” The officer was able to detain Hall and then administer first aid himself before being assisted by hospital staff.

The MP was reportedly taken to a British hospital by emergency personnel following the alleged attack.

Authorities said Hall was originally admitted to Fleming County Hospital for a “medical issue.”

Hall was released from the hospital and booked into the Mason County Detention Center, police said, and charged with attempted murder of a police officer.
