ONE DRIVER ARRESTED, ANOTHER SUBMISSIONED AFTER REPORTED TRAFFIC AGGRESS INCIDENT – KQEN News Radio

One person was detained and another person was charged with an incident of road rage on Tuesday evening.

According to a Roseburg police report, the incident occurred at West Harvard Avenue and West Harrison Street at 9:50 p.m. involving a Winston man and a Roseburg woman, both 18 years old. The vehicles stopped on Harrison Street. An altercation allegedly ensued, during which the woman jumped onto the hood of the man’s vehicle, holding a large rock and threatening to smash the windshield. The occupants of the crashed vehicle pulled her off the hood. The suspect woman was bitten by a dog. The suspect man reportedly broke a taillight with a kick, causing over $1,000 in damage.

Officers contacted the female suspect at CHI Mercy Medical Center, where she was being treated for the dog bite. She reportedly admitted her role in the incident. The male suspect met with officers and admitted to damaging the other vehicle. He was charged with first-degree criminal damage to property and held without bail. The woman was charged with second-degree disturbing the peace and remained hospitalized.
