Suspect arrested for attempted premeditated murder

A suspect is in custody after striking a man with his vehicle and nearly running over officers during an arrest on a warrant.

On June 28, 2024, investigators with the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office made contact with Jason Beezley (d. 6/11/81) of Loveland. Beezley was wanted on several charges including assault, child abuse, property damage, domestic violence, and drug possession with intent to resell. He refused to cooperate with law enforcement and attempted to flee in his truck. His passenger remained outside the vehicle, at which point Beezley ran over the man’s leg and recklessly drove toward seven LCSO officers. The passenger sustained minor injuries. None of the officers were injured.

Beezley was taken into custody and booked into the Larimer County Jail on the warrants. He was also charged with eight additional counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Beezley was held on $250,000 bail in Larimer County District Court.

“It is extremely concerning when someone threatens the lives of others just to avoid responsibility,” said Bobby Moll, captain of the Bureau of Investigation. “Running away from the consequences of your own actions does not work here in Larimer County. If you have made poor decisions, take responsibility and deal with the consequences, and then move on with your life.”

The indictment is merely an accusation and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
