Police: 3-year-old found dead in Montgomery County pool

A 3-year-old boy was found dead in a swimming pool in Rockville, Maryland, late Friday, according to Montgomery County police.

According to a police news release, the county’s emergency dispatch center received a call about a missing boy around 11:45 p.m. Rockville City Police responded to the call and found the child at the neighborhood swimming pool.

The police performed CPR on the boy, the press release said. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The child’s death is currently being investigated by detectives, but no foul play is suspected, the press release states.

Police said they would not release the boy’s name.
