Missing man found dead in Hudson River near Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (NEWS10) – New York State Police confirmed that the remains of 43-year-old Nicolas Faust, formerly of Marlborough and Peekskill, were found in the Hudson River near the shores of Poughkeepsie on May 4. Faust had been missing since March 24th.

According to his family, Faust was a sergeant in the National Guard. He was last seen by friends near Mill Street in Poughkeepsie.

His remains were identified May 7 with the assistance of the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office. The investigation conducted by state police determined there was no evidence of foul play in his death.
