Man shot dead in Norfolk, suspect in custody

NORFOLK, Virginia (WAVY) – A man is dead after an overnight shooting in Norfolk, police said.

At around 1:20 a.m. Saturday morning, police responded to a shooting in the 1800 block of Core Avenue. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a social media post, police announced that a suspect had been arrested.
