Silver Alert issued for missing 83-year-old Kokomo man

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Kokomo police are investigating the disappearance of James Umbarger, an 83-year-old white man who is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 130 pounds, has gray hair and brown eyes and drives a white 2000 Cadillac Deville with a blue top and Indiana license plate UWJ534.

James is missing from Kokomo, Indiana, 50 miles north of Indianapolis, and was last seen at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, 2024. He is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical attention.

Investigators are asking anyone with information on James Umbarger’s whereabouts to contact Kokomo Police at 765-456-7199 or 911.
