Atlanta, Illinois (ECWd) –

We attended and live streamed the Atlanta, Illinois City Council meeting last night as we understand that a meeting was held in June, allegedly without a quorum, and that a council member was appointed to fill a vacancy on the council during that meeting.

His appointment was “ratified” at this meeting.

We sent a few public records requests to the city over the past two months, and shortly after, board member Chris Thomas resigned from his position.

At 20:20 in the video below, an employee spoke to the board about allegations made at board meetings and elsewhere.
