NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / June 30, 2024 / Leading securities law firm Bleichmar Fonti & Auld LLP announces an investigation into CAE, Inc. (NYSE:CAE) for possible violations of the federal securities laws.

If you have invested in CAE, you can obtain further information at: https://www.bfalaw.com/cases/cae-inc-investigation.

Why did CAE’s share price fall?

On May 21, 2024, CAE announced preliminary results for the fourth quarter of 2024 and announced that it had initiated a “realignment” of its defense business due to eight underperforming legacy fixed-price contracts. CAE also reported that it had recorded a non-cash defense goodwill impairment of $568.0 million, unfavorable defense contract earnings adjustments of $90.3 million, and an impairment of related technology and other non-financial assets of $35.7 million, primarily related to the legacy contracts.

As a result, CAE’s stock price declined over 13% at the open on May 22, 2024 and closed down over 5%. BFA is investigating whether CAE and certain of its executives made materially false and/or misleading statements to investors in connection with the legacy contracts and/or its defense business.
