Fox bite incident reported in Moore County; residents urged to exercise caution, officials say

PINEBLUFF, NC (WNCN) — The Moore County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to use caution after a fox bite was reported in Pinebluff.

In a public safety alert, officials said the fox bite was reported in the 100 block of East Philadelphia Avenue, an area that is home to many businesses and residential homes.

Deputies said the fox in question had not been caught and was still at large.

People in the area are asked to be cautious outdoors and not to approach or attempt to catch the fox if they see it.

The Sheriff’s Office asks that you please keep pets and small children indoors if possible and keep garbage and other food sources safely away to avoid attracting wildlife.
