Weather warning: Showers and thunderstorms this morning; gradual clearing today

Good morning! What a wild night of storms for our area…a series of severe thunderstorms swept through the area causing numerous power outages and downing trees and power lines…especially in Providence County.

These storms even triggered a tornado warning for the overnight hours. The NWS will most likely send a reconnaissance team to the locations on Thursday to determine if it was a tornado or if it was just straight-line wind damage.

Once the downpours and thunderstorms pass by 9am, the weather will improve significantly, especially in the afternoon! The sun will return, with highs around 27 degrees. Humidity will drop later today, and tonight looks like great sleeping weather!
