Man arrested for raping and killing a child

LAHORE: Shalimar Investigations police have arrested a suspect involved in the murder of a nine-year-old child after raping him and hiding his body in his house.

According to reports, the suspect identified as Abdul Rehman was a relative of the victim child identified as Abdullah. He lured the victim to his home and raped her. To suppress his voice, he strangled the victim and hid the body under the bed after digging the ground to cover up his crime. A case has been opened into the victim’s disappearance. The police investigation was able to clarify the case and arrest the suspect.

Two robbers injured in clash with police

Two suspected robbers were injured in a clash with police in Nishtar Colony. According to reports, police received information that two suspects were engaged in looting citizens. A team responded on call and consoled the suspects near Kamahan Interchange. When the robbers saw the police group, they shot at them. In exchange for the shot, the suspects suffered gunshot wounds. They were shifted to a nearby hospital. The suspects were identified as Michael and Shabbir. Police have recovered a pistol, bicycles, 10 mobile phones and other items from their custody.

Biker dies in collision

A motorcyclist was killed and another was injured in a collision between two motorcycles near the Eastern Bypass. The victims were reportedly riding somewhere on two different bikes. When they reached GT Road near Ada Shabeel, the motorcyclists collided with each other. They sustained serious injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital, but one of them could not survive and died. The injured victim was treated in hospital.

Woman commits suicide

A 35-year-old woman committed suicide by swallowing poisonous pills in Nawab Town. According to reports, the victim identified as Nazia Irfan was frustrated due to her domestic problems. She was so depressed and swallowed poisonous pills.

Her condition worsened and she was shifted to a nearby hospital but could not survive. Police shifted the body to the mortuary to ascertain the cause of death and further investigated the matter.
