Man arrested in connection with fatal shooting at Diamond Head Lake

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – A Washington County man is behind bars following the investigation into the death of a Bay County man.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, 24-year-old Kyle Michael Porter of Chipley was arrested early Friday morning in connection with the death of Randy Joseph Lynn.

On April 27, authorities received a call in connection with a shooting at Diamond Head Lake. Washington County officials said three co-workers and acquaintances were at Porter’s house for a social gathering and sparked an altercation after becoming intoxicated.

Officials say Porter pulled out a gun during the altercation and shot Lynn. He is charged with manslaughter.

Porter was taken to the Washington County Jail.
