Community Alert: Barricaded Person, New Port Richey

Officers with the Pasco Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve an arrest warrant in the Cayuga Dr. area of ​​New Port Richey at approximately 6:15 a.m. An adult male was served with an arrest warrant by U.S. Marshalls with assistance from the Pasco Sheriff’s Office. The offender barricaded himself inside the residence. Upon entry, the offender was found deceased with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. This appears to be an isolated incident and there is no known threat to public safety. No further information is available at this time.
