Nashua man pointed gun at another man during road rage incident: police

Chandler Doucette was arrested Friday on a felony charge involving a firearm threat following an incident on West Hollis Street.

CONCORD, NH – A Nashua man faces charges of menacing with a firearm following an incident Friday on West Hollis Street.

Gate City police received a report of a possible “road rage incident.” A man accused another man of driving in front of him on the road and “aggressively slamming on the brakes of his vehicle for no reason,” said Sergeant John Cinelli, Nashua Police Department’s public information officer and communications director. The other driver was later identified as Chandler Doucette, 27, of Nashua.

“The victim pulled into a parking lot next to the suspect’s vehicle,” he said, “and as he did so, Doucette pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim.”

Officers took Doucette into custody.

Criminal Investigators applied for and obtained a search warrant for Doucette’s vehicle. After executing the search warrant, they found a gun in the vehicle, according to Cinelli. Doucette was subsequently charged with criminal threatening with a firearm, a felony. He was released on $300 bail and is due in Nashua District Court on July 24.

Nashua Police are asking anyone with additional information about this incident to contact the Crime Line at 603-589-1665.
