Jarred Kelenic back in the lead as the Atlanta Braves take on the Detroit Tigers

The Atlanta Braves will face the Detroit Tigers in what will be Max Fried’s first-ever appearance against them.

Brian Snitker has been shaking up the lineup a bit lately, and it seems to be working. Before the reigning MVP disappeared for the year, it was almost guaranteed that you would see the same lineup every night. The only difference was if there was a left starter or a right starter.

Unfortunately, these roster shuffles are due to other injuries, with Michael Harris out for an extended period of time. That being said, the Braves just scored six or more runs in four straight games for the first time all season.

With Forrest Wall called up today, the question loomed as to what the starting outfield would look like against an RHP SP, especially with Duvall struggling mightily against them. Against RHP starters this year, Duvall struggled to a .127/.236/.175 line. To be fair, his BABIP is .191, which shows he’s been unhappy, but that’s not enough to justify the bad stat line. If you also take RP into account, his slash line is even worse.

The programming was removed and answered this question. The outfield will feature Forrest Wall at LF, Adam Duvall at RF and Jarred Kelenic at CF. This indicates that as of now, Wall has not been bred for any type of platoon role with Duvall.

This team will face Reese Olson, who is in the second season of his young career. He has a solid 3.68 ERA in 71.0 innings in thirteen starts. His xERA backs up his ERA, showing this is no fluke. Olson has also been an example of how a pitcher’s win-loss record is an obsolete statistic with a record of 1-8 despite an adjusted ERA that is 12.0 percent better than league average .

No Brave faced Reese Olson over two at-bats. Albies, Arcia and Kelenic each had a hit, while Matt Olson, Riley and d’Arnaud are hitless in two at-bats each.

Surprisingly, Max Fried never faced the Tigers in his eight-year career, so many Tigers players never faced him. Mark Canha had the most success against him. In fourteen at-bats, Canha has two HRs, while maintaining an OPS of 1.161.

Carson Kelly saw Fried through eight at-bats, but struggled to a .625 OPS, while Gio Urshela only had two at-bats, in which he averaged .000.

First pitch is at 7:20 a.m. ET.
