Two Bandits players nominated for NLL MVP

Two Buffalo Bandits forwards have been nominated for the National Lacrosse League’s top honor.

Forwards Josh Byrne and Dhane Smith are in the running for MVP in the 2023-24 regular season. Toronto Rock goaltender Nick Rose is also nominated.

Byrne and Smith are also nominated for Offensive Player of the Year.

Elsewhere, Ian MacKay is in the running for transition player of the year.

The winners will be announced ahead of the 2024 NLL Finals, which will see the Bandits take on the Albany FireWolves as Buffalo looks to win back-to-back league championships. The first game will be May 17 in Albany.
