Dale Wurgler and Alex Limas of Chippewa Lake killed in car crash

LAFAYETTE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) — Two teenagers were killed in a traffic accident early Thursday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

According to a press release, police arrived at the scene shortly after 5:30 a.m. on Ryan Road, near the intersection with Eastlake Road, in Medina County.

Investigators determined the sedan went off the right side of the road, oversteered and then went off the left side of the road, into a ditch and then struck a street sign, the release said. The car rolled over and struck a tree.

The driver, 18-year-old Dale Wurgler, and passenger, 19-year-old Alex Limas, both of Chippewa Lake, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Speed ​​appears to have played a role in the accident, the press release states. The incident is still under investigation.
