The Newport Police Department has provided the following arrest and incident logs from 7:00 a.m. June 11, 2024, to 7:00 a.m. June 12, 2024.

Arrest report

On Tuesday, June 11th, at 12:15 a.m., Luke Browner, age 27, of Bristol, Rhode Island, was taken into custody by Officer Rayner on charges of resisting lawful or unlawful arrest, theft/U$1500 (all other), domestic disturbance, and domestic vandalism/malicious damage to property.

On Tuesday, June 11th, at 1:50 p.m., Mark Herden, age 42, of Newport, Rhode Island, was arrested by Officer Casale for disorderly conduct.

Presumption of Innocence: Persons arrested, detained, or summoned/cited should be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
