Buffalo man charged with sexual assault in Shoshone Park

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — The Buffalo man accused of attacking a woman in Shoshone Park earlier this year was arraigned on Friday.

The Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced that 34-year-old Lamont K. Love has been arraigned in Erie County Court on charges of first-degree sexual abuse and third-degree assault.

According to prosecutors, on March 3, Love attacked the victim, who was riding her bike in the park, then jumped off and attacked her. Love is accused of using force to coerce the victim into sexual contact.

The district attorney said the victim was able to escape the attack and reported the incident to police. A restraining order on the victim’s behalf remains in effect.
