Man arrested on cell phone after attempting to steal food from Checkers, police say

MOBILE, Alabama (WKRG) – A man was arrested after allegedly breaking into a Checkers restaurant and attempting to steal food, according to Mobile police.

According to a press release from the MPD, officers were called to the fast-food restaurant on St. Stephens Road shortly after midnight Tuesday regarding the incident.


LOCATION OF INCIDENT:

When officers arrived at the store, they found that a man, now identified as 28-year-old Dynnie Earl Prince Jr., “had violently broken through a door and attempted to steal food from inside,” the press release said.

Prince was arrested and charged with burglary.
