Two dead in road accident in Kasimkota

Two persons died when their bicycle accidentally fell into a ditch at Visannapeta in Kasimkota mandal of Anakapalli district late Saturday night. The deceased were identified as D. Eswara Rao (33) and T. Bhaskara Rao (32) of Visannapeta.

According to police, the incident occurred when the duo were riding a two-wheeler and the driver lost control on a steep curve at Visannapeta. They hit large stones and the motorcycle also reportedly fell on them, resulting in serious injuries and the duo died on the spot.

Local residents felt that the accident might have been due to lack of signage. Police took the two to NTR Hospital in Anakapalli for postmortem. Kasimkota police have registered a case.
