FIRST, POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING THE SHOOTING DEATH OF A MAN NEAR 50TH AND PROSPECT. COPS SAY THEY RECEIVED A CALL ABOUT SOMEONE LYING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD NEAR THAT INTERSECTION. WHEN POLICE ACCESSED THE SCENE THIS MORNING AT AROUND 4 AM, THEY FOUND THE VICTIM DEAD FROM GUNSHOT WOUNDS.

Early morning murder claims one life in Kansas City, Missouri

Kansas City, Missouri police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday morning. Just after 4 a.m., officers were called to 50th and Prospect Avenue for a reported 911 call. When they arrived, officers found an adult male lying in the street with gunshot wounds. He died at the scene. KANSAS CITY, Missouri —

Police in Kansas City, Missouri are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday morning.

Shortly after 4 a.m., officers were called to the corner of 50th and Prospect Avenue for a reported rescue. When they arrived, officers found an adult male lying in the street with gunshot wounds.

He died at the scene of the accident.

There is currently no information on the suspect and investigators are unsure what led to the shooting.
