Couple arrested in violent armed robbery of victim with Rolex watches in Miami – NBC 6 South Florida

Two men have been arrested in Miami in connection with the violent armed robbery of two victims wearing Rolex watches.

Oneal Jose Uribe, 30, and Gelbinson Daniel Lugo, 22, were both arrested Monday on armed robbery charges, records show. Uribe is also charged with carrying a concealed firearm.

The robbery happened around 3 a.m. April 7 at Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 30th Street.

According to arrest reports, the victims were getting into a vehicle when they were approached by three masked and armed men who confronted them and demanded their Rolex watches.

One of the victims resisted and was pistol-whipped by one of the suspects, who took the other victim’s Rolex and fled the scene in a waiting vehicle, the reports said.

According to the reports, investigators later determined that Lugo was the driver of the waiting vehicle.

It was also determined that Uribe, who was driving a Porsche Macan, had met with the suspects in the vehicle before the robbery, the reports said.

Uribe followed the suspects to the robbery scene and assumed a surveillance position during the robbery, the reports said.

According to the reports, Uribe was found on Monday with the porch used in the robbery. According to the reports, he was also wearing a Rolex without a serial number and there was a gun in the vehicle.

Uribe and Lugo were booked into jail, where they were being held without bail Tuesday, records show. Attorney information was not available.
