A 17-year-old Denver boy was arrested after stealing $20,000 worth of LEGOs and minifigures from a store in the early morning hours of May 12, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers began investigating after someone attempted to break into Bricks & Minifigs at 8936 W. Bowles Ave. at 4:30 a.m. on May 12. The suspect later returned and broke in by tying a strap from a bumper to the doors and ripping them open, causing “severe damage,” the sheriff’s office said Tuesday.
