Man killed in drive-by shooting on Saturday afternoon

DURHAM, NC — A man is dead after a shooting Saturday night in Durham.

According to Durham police, the shooting occurred in the 3600 block of Keystone Place. Officers found a man with a gunshot wound in a vehicle in the parking lot.

According to police, the victim was in a white sedan at the intersection of Dearborn Drive and Old Oxford Road when another car pulled up next to him and fired several shots at the passenger vehicle. The suspect vehicle drove away from the scene while the driver of the white sedan drove to Keystone Place and fled the car.

Emergency services took the victim to a local hospital, where he later died.

The intersection of Dearborn Drive and Old Oxford Road is closed during the police investigation.

Police are asking drivers to use an alternate route while the investigation continues and anyone with information to contact us.
