Pet killed in house fire in southwest Charlotte early morning: CFD

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A pet has died following an early morning house fire in southwest Charlotte, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.

At approximately 2:40 a.m. Saturday, crews responded to the 13000 block of Duckett Court for a house fire.


It took 20 minutes for 30 firefighters to get the fire under control, officials said. No one was injured, but a pet was killed.

Investigators determined it was an accidental fire with estimated damage of $30,000.
