Police are investigating a series of sexual assaults by a suspected delivery driver

According to police, a series of six sexual assaults against women and a 14-year-old girl were allegedly carried out by a delivery driver on a moped.

Between March 3 and April 18, the Metropolitan Police received six reports of sexual assaults on women late at night in the Hornsey, Crouch End and Stroud Green areas of Haringey.

Women were approached by a man on a moped who followed them and sexually assaulted them before driving away, the Met said.

He is described as wearing dark clothing and driving a moped with a box attached to the back.

Police suspected he might work as a delivery driver, courier or fast food worker.

Officials advised the public to be cautious while alone in the area at night.

Two of the attacks occurred on Despard Road on March 16 and 29.

Additional incidents were reported on Malvern Road, Broadway, Nelson Road and Lancaster Road.

The victims’ ages ranged from 14 to 29 years.

All but one of the attacks occurred after 10 p.m.

Detective Inspector Pete Dyche, from the North Area Command Unit, said: “We are open to possible links between these crimes.

“We are carrying out a number of urgent inquiries as part of our investigation and are doing our utmost to catch the perpetrator or perpetrators.

“I would advise anyone walking alone in this area in the evening to be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity to the police immediately.”
