Morgan Wallen’s chair throwing incident could have an impact on Nashville

All eyes were on Nissan Stadium in Nashville Morgan Wallen took the stage at his “One Night at a Time” concert for the third time in a row.

This comes as the country star skipped a hearing this week on the charges he faces after he threw a chair from a downtown rooftop bar last month.

“I didn’t feel comfortable coming out publicly until I made amends with a few people. I contacted Nashville law enforcement, my family and the good people at Chief’s (on Broadway). “I am not proud of my behavior, and I take responsibility,” Wallen remarked after the incident on X. “I have the utmost respect for the officers who work every day to keep us all safe. As far as my tour is concerned, there will be no change.”

Mayor Freddie O’Connell was asked about the security implications of the incident ahead of the multi-event weekend where 100,000 visitors are expected in Music City.

“We’ll see if we end up making recommendations that should go to the Metro Historic Zoning Commission,” the mayor said when asked if he had plans to prevent items from being thrown from the bars.

Wallen’s next court date is scheduled for August.
