Junction City man sentenced to 204 years in prison for child sex abuse | Oregon / Northwest

JUNCTION CITY, Ore. (AP) — A Junction City man found guilty of nearly two dozen counts of alleged sexual abuse of a child has been sentenced to 204 years in prison.

The Albany Democrat-Herald reported that Michael Long was sentenced in Linn County District Court on Tuesday.

In February, a jury found him guilty of 10 counts of sexual abuse, five counts of solicitation of child sexual abuse, three counts of unlawful sexual penetration and three counts of sodomy and strangulation.

Investigators began investigating Long, who was then living in Tangent, after being informed that he had had inappropriate interactions with a middle school-aged girl on Facebook.

During the investigation, a second victim was identified: a girl of primary school age.
