San Antonio Police Respond to Serious Accident, Aggravated Assault and Police-Involved Shooting | State

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — A series of incidents, including a serious accident, a serious assault and a police-involved shooting, kept San Antonio police busy over the weekend.

In the first incident, a blue 2003 GMC Sierra traveling south on Fredericksburg Road struck a man who ran in front of the truck. The driver stopped and rendered aid, and the plaintiff was taken by EMS to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver was evaluated and found not to be intoxicated. The plaintiff is in serious but stable condition, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

In another incident, officers were dispatched to 410 N New Braunfels for a stabbing incident. A 45-year-old man reported being stabbed by an unknown man while walking in the area. The victim was taken to SAMMC with non-life-threatening injuries and is in stable condition. Officers have not yet located the suspect and the investigation is ongoing.

Most recently, a police-involved shooting occurred in 1300 Patricia. A woman in her 20s reported domestic violence, and during the incident, an officer was struck by gunfire and is currently undergoing surgery. The suspect, a man in his 20s, is involved in the ongoing investigation, according to San Antonio police.
