Arrested after sexual assault on teenager, jailed for days: police

A Windsor man has been arrested and charged after a 15-year-old reported being sexually abused and held against her will for days.

Police said their Major Crimes Unit received a report that a 15-year-old was sexually assaulted multiple times and confined to a residence in the 300 block of Glengarry Avenue for four days.

The teenager was eventually able to escape the apartment, police said in a statement, and was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Police arrested a 35-year-old Windsor man and charged him with sexual assault, sexual battery on a person under 16, assault and strangulation, and forcible confinement and mischief under $5,000.
