The Reds snapped their four-game losing streak and earned their first win since the All-Star break with a 4-1 victory over the Braves on Atlanta Night in the opener of a three-game series.

Hunter Greene allowed just two hits in seven scoreless innings, Will Benson hit a home run and the Cincinnati Reds won Monday night.

Greene (7-4), making his first start since losing the All-Star Game, had seven strikeouts. The right-hander has allowed just two runs in his last four starts.

Game 2 between the Reds and Braves tonight will be at 7:20 p.m. with the pregame at 6:50 p.m. on Real Country 95.1 WTCW.

The series will conclude Wednesday afternoon with a day game. First pitch will be at 12:20 p.m.

The Reds will then rest Thursday and face the Rays in Tampa Bay this weekend to conclude the road trip.

The Reds are now 48-53, 9.5 games behind the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Central and four games out of the National League wild card race.
