House of Representatives adjourns session due to bad weather

MANILA, Philippines – The House of Representatives adjourned its session on Tuesday due to adverse weather caused by the southwest monsoon and Typhoon Carina.

Deputy Majority Leader and Batangas 4th District Rep. Lianda Bolilia moved to adjourn the session until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24.

Deputy Speaker Roberto Puno agreed.

Due to the bad weather, Malacañang had suspended government work and classes at all levels in Metro Manila at noon.

According to Palace Circular No. 57, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, work and class suspensions will begin at 2 p.m.
