Kusha Kapila criticised Samay Raina’s nasty remark about her divorce and sexuality as “shockingly unkind…”

Kusha Kapila has finally spoken out about ‘Pretty Good Roast Show With Ashish Solanki’ and slammed Samay Raina and others for their spiteful ‘jokes’ that go too far.

Kusha Kapila is a well-known name in the entertainment industry. She started her career as an entertainment writer but gradually worked her way up as a social media influencer and is now an actress. She has acted in films like Thanks for coming, Sukhee, and more. She will next be seen in the film, Life Hill GayiA few months ago, the diva was part of a roast show, Pretty good roast show with Ashish Solanki, where several comedians made derogatory jokes about her, and now Kusha has finally spoken about it in detail.

Kusha Kapila expressed her disappointment about the roast

Kusha Kapila recently shared on her YouTube community section that the roast was an unpaid collaboration done in good faith and for entertainment purposes. The jokes were not shared beforehand and it was all a surprise to her. However, she did not expect the mean comments and nasty taunts that came her way. In her words:

“I had to listen to some of the really nasty jokes in front of a live audience and technicians. I was totally not OK with it being played in front of millions of people as some of the jokes just dehumanised me. It was shockingly unkind.”

Kusha also stressed that while some people thought the roast below the belt was normal, others were very compassionate towards her. She is glad that a few people liked the roast, which is why she did not leave the roast in the middle, even though she was very disheartened. Kusha added:

“I’m glad you enjoyed the roast. That’s why I sat there too – to enjoy it and have the best time, and I did my best until it went too far. We all have our limits and all those limits are valid and should be respected. I may have sat at the roast, but I don’t stand for everything that came out of it. I’m proud that I didn’t organize a strike and that after what was thrown at me, I found the courage to perform anyway.”

Samay Raina made fun of Kusha Kapila’s personal life and divorce. He said that the former lives in a broken family circle. He also made fun of Kusha’s divorce and even called her a gold digger. Samay asked Kusha to send Maya (her dog) to Zorawar so that the furry pet could live happily together. He also made some nasty remarks about Kusha’s sex life which the show censored as they were very derogatory.

Kusha Kapila handled Samay’s roast like a pro

Although Kusha appeared to be enjoying the roast session in the video, the actress has now opened up about the incident and reacted strongly to it. Recently, she hosted an AMA session on her Instagram handle and was asked by a social media user how she dealt with the brutal roast by Samay. Kusha then said:

“This isn’t my first time at the rodeo. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t matter. I’ll probably talk about it on a sober podcast once I’ve processed it all (lol, do we have one) or maybe never. We’ll see. This profile continues to be a safe space for my female and queer followers.”
