Telugu doctor killed in bizarre road accident in the USA

Amid a disturbing rise in deaths among Indian-origin students in the United States, another tragic incident has occurred.

Jetty Harika, a 25-year-old veterinarian from Tenali, recently lost her life in a road accident in Oklahoma, USA. Harika had been pursuing postgraduate studies in veterinary medicine for the last one and a half years.

Her grieving family, including her father Jetty Srinivasa Rao, an Excise officer, and mother Nagamani, are now waiting for the Indian Embassy to bring back her body. They have requested the government’s urgent help in shifting Harika’s body to Tenali for her last rites.

“We are deeply shocked by this sudden loss,” said a close relative. “Our priority now is to bring Harika home and perform the final ceremony. We request the government’s support and cooperation during this difficult time.”

This incident follows other tragedies involving Indian students in the US. Another Indian student recently died in a bicycle accident in New York and three Indian students lost their lives in a car accident in Alpharetta, Georgia.
